ITB Asia – Visit Finland
The Visit Finland Seminar, themed “Mad about Finland” has everyone’s funny bones tickled when Mr Jaakko Lehtonen, Director General, Finnish Tourist Board tells a tale to illustrate how credible the Finns are.
The tale goes like this: One day, the lady asked her husband why he no longer says “I love you.” His reply: “I said it once when I married you. And that’s it. If I change my mind, I will let you know.”
Mr Lehtonen proudly brought up the “Lost wallet test” of Readers Digest, in which Helsinki, Finland, came tops, with 11 of the 12 wallets dropped around the city returned.
The occasion is honoured by Mr Jan Vapaavuori, Minister of Economic Affairs, Finland.
A Very Special guest came along too – none other than Santa Claus, from Lapland, north of Finland. With a professional photographer arranged courtesy of Visit Finland, guests enthusiastically lined up for the photo shooting session with Santa Claus.
We all love Santa Claus! (okay, okay, we all love Mr Lehtonen and Mr Vapaavuori, too!)
